Troubleshooting Your Buzzroam SIM Card
What should I do if my Buzzroam SIM is not working?
1. Switch your phone off then on
Often resetting your phone will solve any temporary problem
2. Check that you have Airtime
Send a text / SMS with the letters “bal” to 1966 to check your balance
3. Check for network coverage
Your phone will automatically search for the strongest signal, however often the local network can be the problem. To get around this, try switching manually to another network usually found under settings/network/select “manual”.
4. Are you dialling the correct number and format?
Always enter the number using the international dialling code,
+ [country code] [area code] [number]
For example: to call Hong Kong: +852 xxxx xxxx.
5. My “Callback” won’t work when I try to make a call?
Check that the Callback menu is enabled, usually found under “menu”. Buzzroam places a menu on your phone called “Callback” and this needs to be enabled to allow the callback facility to work. It should be set to “OFF” as standard. This actually means the “Callback” function is ON. If that doesn’t work it may be that your phone does not support the Callback feature automatically.
6. iPhone information
The iPhone doesn’t allow the automatic Callback. Therefore you require a code to be entered before dialling the number. The code *182* should be entered before each full international number is called, followed by the # key. Eg: *182*+852xxxxxx# OR *182*00852xxxxxx#
Press “Send” and you should receive a call back.
